At the 2017 Winter NAMM Show, QSC will introduce two new models of their popular E Series loudspeakers, as well as an exciting new addition to the K Series lineup – the K Cardioid Subwoofer.
The E215 is a trapezoidal, two-way loudspeaker featuring dual 15-inch 500 W (continuous) die-cast aluminum frame woofers with 3.5-inch voice coil. It employs a Frequency-shading topology across both woofers to maximize low frequency output, while minimizing interference through the HF crossover transition. The E215 will have a US MAP of $999.
The E218sw is a high-performance direct radiation subwoofer with two, 800W, 18-inch, aluminum frame woofers. It’s designed to produce crushing low-end for live performance with kick-drum and bass in the PA or for high-level, high-energy dance music. For portable applications it includes attachment points for four optional casters. The subwoofer’s 4Ω impedance means that a single cabinet can be optimally powered by a less expensive amplifier. The E218sw will MAP at $1199, and ETA for both E additions is Spring 2017.
Representing a breakthrough in innovation and design, the K Cardioid Subwoofer uniquely provides all the benefits of a cardioid subwoofer array but in a single, compact enclosure. Powered by a 1,000 Watt Class D amplifier, processed with the latest DSP technology, and featuring dual 12-inch long excursion drivers, each arranged in a 6th order bandpass chamber, these elements all combine seamlessly to produce a staggering 15 dB more output at the front of the cabinet than at the rear.
The K Cardioid Sub will be available mid-2017, with a US MAP of $1399. All specifications shown above are, at this time, preliminary.
